About Gabriela “Gabby” Jarquin

Gabriela Jarquin is a paralegal who specializes in assisting all attorneys with removal defense, preparing evidentiary filings for immigration judges and submitting complex legal status applications to the court and Homeland Security prosecutors.  Gabby also assists with special immigrant juvenile visa cases and Cuban Adjustment Act cases.  She is fluent in Spanish and also speaks some French.  Gabby is well known for her enthusiastic nature, strong research skills, and ability to work well with clients even when they are facing enormous stress.

Gabby is a proud graduate from the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Global Studies and a certificate in Human Rights and Social Justice.  During her time at UT, Gabriela was an undergraduate intern at the University of Texas School of Law’s Immigration Clinic.  Before gaining this legal experience, Gabriela assisted immigrant families through her work as a medical assistant in Katy, Texas and while interning at Refugee Services of Texas in Austin, Texas.

As a child of Nicaraguan immigrants, Gabby grew up with a passion for empowering and supporting the Hispanic immigrant community. She finds immense value in learning about different cultures all around the world. She hopes to expand her knowledge by continuing to work with immigrants of varying cultural backgrounds and by travelling the world.  In her free time, Gabriela enjoys being outside, spending time with her cats, Beckham and Finn, baking, and playing board games.
